FTP Business Analyst
[09/20/26]Nair Systems is currently looking for FTP Business Analyst for our Qatar operations
Education & Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Banking, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Technology, Mathematics, or related discipline.
- At least 7 years of relevant experience, preferably within a highly rated international bank.
- Experience in Treasury, Finance, ALM, FTP, Risk Analytics, Business Analysis, or Performance Management.
- Exposure to profitability, liquidity, capital, or RAROC frameworks preferred.
Required Special Skills:
- Strong understanding of FTP methodologies and balance sheet management concepts.
- Knowledge of liquidity pricing, profitability measurement, and treasury processes.
- Strong business analysis and requirements documentation skills.
- Advanced analytical and quantitative capabilities.
- Strong reporting, dashboarding, and data interpretation skills.
- Effective stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities by Dimensions
Shareholder & Financial:
- Conduct deailed analysis of FTP methodologies, profitability drivers, and funding allocation mechanisms.
- Support assessment of FTP impacts on product pricing, business profitability, and balance sheet performance.
- Assist in developing analytical models and management reporting to support strategic decision-making.
- Implements KPI's and best practices for the Funds Transfer Pricing Business Analyst.
- Promote cost consciousness and efficiency and enhance productivity, to minimise cost, avoid waste, and optimise benefits for the bank.
- Act within the limits of the powers delegated to the incumbent.
Customer (Internal & External):
- Support stakeholder engagement activities across Treasury, Finance, Risk, Business Units, and Technology teams.
- Facilitate business requirements gathering sessions and document functional requirements.
- Assist business users in understanding FTP methodology changes and reporting outputs.
- To assist customers in all their queries on Bank's products and seek solution to their requests.
- Maintain activities in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Build and maintain strong/effective relationships with related departments/units.
- Provide timely/accurate data to external/internal Auditors, Compliance, Financial Control and Risk when required.
Internal (Processes, Products, Regulatory):
- Analyse current-state FTP models, liquidity pricing methodologies, and profitability frameworks.
- Support development and documentation of funding curves, behavioural assumptions, margin allocation, and reporting requirements.
- Assist with implementation, testing, data validation, and process improvement initiatives related to FTP transformation.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve reporting accuracy, transparency, and process efficiency.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Set examples by leading improvement initiatives through cross-functional teams ensuring successes.
- Identify and encourage people to adopt practices better than the industry standard.
- Continuously encourage and recognise the importance of thinking out-of-the-box within the team.
- Encourage, solicit and reward innovative ideas even in day-to-day issues.
Learning & Knowledge:
- Develop and maintain knowledge of FTP methodologies, ALM concepts, liquidity management, and banking profitability frameworks.
- Stay informed of industry practices, regulatory developments, and treasury transformation trends.
- Contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives and project documentation.
- Proactively identify areas for professional development of self and undertake development activities.
- Seek out opportunities to remain current with all developments in professional field.
Legal, Regulatory, and Risk Framework Responsibilities:
- Comply with all applicable legal, regulatory and internal compliance requirements including, but not limited to, Group Compliance Policies and Procedures (AML & CTF, Sanctions Policy, Data Protection Policy, Fraud Control Policy, Whistle Blowing Policy, Conflict of Interest and Insider Dealing Policy).
- Understand and effectively perform your role under the Three Lines of Defence principle to identify measure, monitor, manage and report risks.
- Ensure systematic good outcomes for clients in accordance with Conduct Risk policy.
- Support the framework of RCSA, KRI, Incident reporting and remediation, as appropriate, in accordance with the Operational Risk Management requirements.
- Maintain appropriate knowledge to ensure full qualification to undertake the role.
- Complete all mandatory training provided by the Bank, attain, and maintain the required levels of competence.
- Attend mandatory (internal and external) seminars as instructed by the Bank.
